Step 3. Storing Key Phrases Securely:
Ensuring the security of your recovery phrase is vital for protecting your digital assets. Here are a few good practices to follow:
Offline Storage:
Write down your recovery phrase on paper and store it in a secure location, such as a locked note, password manager software or somewhere you believe to be secure where no one else can access it. This is like your password to your bank account in a way, treat it the same way you treat your bank account access.
Avoid Digital Storage:
Refrain from storing your recovery phrase in digital formats that are connected to the internet, such as cloud storage or email, to prevent unauthorised access.
Multiple Copies:
Consider creating multiple copies of your recovery phrase and storing them in separate, secure locations to mitigate the risk of loss or damage.
By following these guidelines and utilising Flow Wallet's features, you can effectively manage and safeguard your digital assets within the Flow ecosystem.
